So I decided to remove all the Winning logos and patches from my 16oz gloves.

The main logo actually came off pretty easily using some acetone and a cloth, just rubbing gently. The inner logo was also fairly easy to remove. I did have a tiny scare at one spot where I rubbed a bit too hard and it might have taken off a microscopic bit of leather, but honestly it’s not visible at all.

Then came the final step: removing the stitched Winning patch.

On the left glove, everything went perfectly. I carefully cut all the stitches with a cutter/scalpel, then slowly pulled the patch off. It came off along with the glue, and I used some heat to remove the leftover adhesive. Clean result.

Right glove… started the same way. Everything was going fine, I cut all the stitches , but I got a bit impatient to pull the patch and pulled harder. Big mistake.

The patch came off, but it also took part of the gold finish with it. The leather underneath is still intact (it’s real leather after all), but a small area lost its gold coating. I’m guessing it’s because it’s a special color, not like standard black leather, so the finish behaves differently.

Now I’m a bit worried that the gold might keep wearing off over time in that spot. But at least it’s on the wrist/forearm area, not the striking surface, so I’m trying to stay chill about it.

Final verdict: if you’re gonna do this… take your time.
Especially on $800 gloves 🤡🤡

Gloves have been used only a couple of times on the bag , basically new
