M-Store (E-11) stealing GST
So this happened to me today when i bought stuffs and they handed me the receipt with FBR's logo and a QR code beside it, including the receipt number.
Turns out, it was a lie and the QR and the code led to nowhere. I scanned it through my Iris App and it told me to report it, which i usually do.
They claimed that the QR code is for their own scanners😭dude i scanned it in their scanner and it returned an error. Then the cashier claimed that he has turned the system off so that's why its giving an error.
I called the manager, dumb guy said the QR is not printed well, its a printer issue. But dude i could read the number and typed it in front of him, yet he didn't accept it.
Then i grabbed today's older receipts, turns out, they didn't go through too. All these means that those GST money doesn't go to the govt, they're just deceiving the customers and the govt, both.
I immediately demanded for a new receipt with working QR and he immediately printed it for me and took the older one with himself. When i threatened him to make a video for social media, he gave it to me.
I am coming across alot of business, including the famous Broadway pizza doing this. Please everyone, track your receipts and taxes, and report any of them who can't verify their invoices. I also want to make a community of such people who go and do check their invoices and report them. The govt does nothing by just reporting them, we need to take it to social media and publicly defame these kinda businesses who won't even pay Rs. 18 in tax.
