Need help w/Dual 604 tonearm
Hi everyone!
I’m pretty new to turntables and just got my first vintage, a Dual 604. I’m so excited to start listening, but no matter how many videos I watch or articles I read, I can’t seem to figure out how/why my the tone arm isn’t lowering onto the record. I’ve used videos to balance the tone arm and I’ve tried messing around with the anti-skate and counterweight by following videos for Dual 604s, but still haven’t had luck.
I’ve also looked around to see if the is any cueing fluid leaking but don’t see anything. The tonearm isn’t sticking or dropping, seems to be doing everything it’s supposed to (how it’s supposed to) right up until it’s over the record where it just hovers.
If anyone could offer any advice, it would be really appreciated! I’m super new to it all and still learning, please be kind (:
