Hi everyone,

I’m an international student and I have a question about Foundation Year programmes and admission to Italian universities (Polimi / Polito).

I’m currently considering a Foundation Year programme offered in cooperation with Politecnico di Milano / Politecnico di Torino, which may be completed either in Korea or the UAE.

Does anyone know if this type of Foundation Year is actually accepted for undergraduate admission in Italy?

Specifically:

  • Is a Foundation Year from Polimi/Polito (completed outside Italy, e.g. Korea or UAE) recognized for Bachelor admission in Italy?
  • Or does it need to be completed only in Italy to be valid?
  • And how strict are Polimi/Polito with foundation certificates in general?

If anyone has gone through this or contacted admissions, I would really appreciate your experience.

Thanks a lot 🙏
