MCAT Barrier to Med School Admissions?
On my MCAT, I scored a 519 (131/125/131/132). I have a 3.99 gpa from a T10 university and have very good ECs and activities.
When looking through MSAR, I saw so many of the top schools that I was intending on applying to had their box-and-whisker plot for CARS end at 126 or 127. Given this, is it unlikely that I would be admitted, even if I'm above the average for every other section and (for many) the average score for the school?
I don't know if that is indicative of a hard cutoff score or if they just happened to not accept any 125s this past year. But it's really making me feel demoralized considering I felt so good about my application and thought I could get into many top schools and then just saw this.
