Built a thing to de-clutter GPS waypoints, does this problem hit you too?

After a few seasons my fish finder was buried under duplicate waypoints, marks dropped in the moment, several pins on one spot, years of buildup. No simple tool existed to clean it (GPSBabel is technical, most are one-brand-only), so I started making one: upload your exported file → clean, de-duplicated, sorted list back, ready to reload. Converts between brands too when you upgrade.

Is messy waypoint buildup a real thing for you, or do you stay on top of it? Want to know if it's worth finishing before I sink more time in.

Finally cleaned up years of GPS marks — went from ~4,000 to ~1,950

My unit had years of marks piled up — duplicates, spots I dropped on the fly, sometimes three or four pins basically on the same reef. Got to where it was unreadable and I'd miss good spots in the mess.

A buddy ran it through a tool he's building: exported my file, killed the duplicates and junk, handed it back clean and reloadable — down to ~1,950 actual spots. Huge difference on the screen.

Does anyone else's setup get this cluttered over the years? Curious how you all manage your marks.
