Hie everyone! I'm looking for some help before I pull the trigger on an electronic drum kit for my son’s birthday.

He’s turning 11 and this would be his first full drum kit. He’s currently playing bells and snare drum in school band, but no kit experience yet.

• Space is limited, so compact or portable sets are a big plus
• Noise control matters, which is why we’re leaning e‑drums
• Don’t need pro‑level, but don’t want junk either
• He’s not interested in formal lessons right now, so built‑in coaching, play‑along tracks, apps, or learning tools would be great

From reading other posts here, I’ve seen recommendations for begineers for used kits:

• Simmons Titan 50
• Alesis Nitro Max

If you were buying a first kit for a kid coming from band percussion, what would you choose today? Anything you wish you knew before buying?

I reached out to his band teacher as well for help but I'm not sure if he has any edrum experiance.
