Eastern pacific green sea turtle

While targeting scorpionfish with a small rig with 20 lb test with small hooks, and squid. My friend said I had a big bite on my medium rod. It took 5 mins to left him up to the surface and realize that I just hooked a sea turtle that is about 3 ft and estimate of 150 lbs. Then it realized it was hooked and made a run, snapping the hook off of the line.

A 3 ft leopard shark caught from San Clemente pier

5/3/2026

I was fishing in san clemente pier and I was using a small hook with a tiny piece of squid in the waves for a small fish on my light Daiso 6.88ft rod with a temu reel. Then I was checking my rod and I felt something really heavy on my line. It took few minutes to reel it in and it was my first good size shark. About 3 ft and a estimate of 10 lbs.

A 27 inch Channel Catfish caught from Laguna Niguel.

8/29/26

I was fishing in laguna niguel lake for bass, bluegill, and catfish. The first few hours went pretty good with few fish until it became night. I was using a lighter setup with a bobber, small jighead and a 6 lb mono leader. I was using a small piece of hot dog as bait, and I waited a few minutes until suddenly my bobber was moving super fast.

So I hook set it and then it took about 20-30 yards of line on its first run. I was able to land my PB channel catfish after someone helped me with the net.

My estimate on its weight is about 7 lbs but correct me if Im wrong. And the measurement is 27 inches.
