Reglan aftermath
Hi there! I’m curious to see if anyone has dealt with something similar in relation to Reglan or any other similar medicine. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
I was diagnosed with Gastroparesis last fall and was told to focus on dieting. Due to me having hEDS, I wanted to make sure I saw a GI dr who was aware of how to deal with the possible gut motility issues that come with hEDS. The new GI dr I saw ended up putting me in a paralyzed state for the past few months due to my GI symptoms. I tried Reglan from the dr for two weeks and at first it felt amazing. I felt like I could finally eat a full portion meal. Then everything went downhill a few months ago. The reglan starting causing urgent and daily upset stomachs (it’s been months since I took Reglan and they are still happening daily with varied severity) as well as a constant burning and bloating in my stomach. My nausea kept getting worse even with nausea meds. It’s been getting worse and worse these past few months to the point that I can’t do any PT I need to do, I’m struggling to see friends and leave the house, and I’m down to eating one meal a day and can only do it with a high mg medical thc gummy. I feel like a zombie and I’m scaring my family. I’ve had an upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, and swallowing test. I’m waiting for the breath test results.
