Protection spray rec

Just got a pair of W NIKE V5 RNR and they have a bunch of different kinds of fabric/ materials. Trying to do research on what kind of protectant to buy and honestly just looking for real people advice without sponsorships or AI.
Internet is telling me to do a “water based nanotechnology” spray like crep or Jason markk repel because of the mesh, but some people are saying it’ll fuck with the shiney faux metallic panels
Plz help, just want to wear these shoes to a festival and have them come out the other side not too fucked up 😔🙌

Hi friends:) I have some experience in graphite portraits from photos and I’m happy with my work but by no means do I “know what I’m doing”. I’ve taken college level drawing courses and loved it, so I’m not afraid of this task but I’m wanting to go abt it in the right way and not fuck myself over. Anyways, my uncle asked me if I could do a portrait of him and my aunt of their wedding day for their anniversary in October. I gridded out and taped my paper but where I’m starting to question myself is the background. I’ve never used powder graphite but I’ve seen videos of it and it seems like it might be the right tool.
I have a set of Kimberly artist pencils, blending sticks, blending fabric??? Idk I used it for conte crayons in a drawing class, and I also have a kneaded eraser.
TLDR: should I draw their portraits completely and then the background with powder graphite and a brush? There’s just SOOO much black in this photo. I included some photos of assignments from last semester at the end too.
Also don’t worry I’m getting paid fairly!!
Thank you for any advice
