I'm making a game where you have to survive waves of foods trying to attack you. Currently, the UI consists of your health, round stats (number and enemies left), your runes (abilities) and status effects. Hp and Round stats are top left, runes are bottom left, and status effects would all line up at the ride side of the screen, starting from the top and going down given you ahve enough statuses on you at once.

I'm wondering if I should keep the UI as it is, or tweak it to always be near the player, as the player's eyes are usually focused there most of the game. I'd like to hear about what you think it should be.

There was another post with teh answer, but the answerer's account got deleted and the answer was never archived, which is just sooooo convenient.
I've seen people say it's teh Michael Myers theme song and it does sound like that, but it isn't in the same key and it seems to progress a little differently.

Redact represents swearing. This includes cuss words and using God's name in vain (i.e. "Oh my God")
To survive, you just have to stop sprinting or sliding. Any other movement form works. Stem will pause its attack for Redact.
On death, the player is ragdolled and their limbs are converted to black and red. Random parts of their body are censored like Litany.

The death text says:
SLOW DOWN

WATCH YOUR MOUTH

IT MAY SEEM LIKE ONE WORD

BUT ALL IT TAKES IS ONE

DO NOT USE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN

YET YOU HAVE FALLEN TO YOUR IRE

SPOKEN FOUL ONCE AGAIN
Modifier explanations:
CLEANSE YOUR WORDS: Spawns Redact
MORE PREVENTION: Spawns Redact more often
RESTRAIN YOURSELF: Redact takes less time to activate after appearing.
TOO LITTLE TOO MUCH: If you aren't walking or crouch-walking when it activates, you die. With this modifier, Redact will pause its attack for Dozer only.
The badge would be called "SELF-RESTRAINT" for surviving Redact, "LAST-SECOND CENSOR" for surviving right as Redact is about to attack, and "MOVEMENT CATASTROPHE" for when you are attacked by Litany, Redact, and Stem at the same time
The bound trait would be called "Norpfayit" (anagram of profanity) and gives love whenever Redact is survived (and the bound trait Redact is blue, and the bound trait icon is a headset with the black ring going through it.
