Who's your favorite Gm and why?
I just randomly discovered while browsing old games that I played gotham on chess.com in a daily game in 2017 before he started his YouTube channel. I have no idea how the game came about and I apparently lost on timeout. Obviously I had no idea who he was at the time. Levy, I don't know if you ever frequent this sub, but please I'm begging for a rematch 🙏
I'm new to chess, and for whatever reason every game I have that I don't get destroyed in ends in a draw. I already know what stalemate is, so that's not my question. I just want to know what tactics to use to avoid situations like this.
Hi folks,
Wondering if there are any advanced players here who use Chessly and have course recommendations. I’m 2200+ on Lichess and have really enjoyed the courses I’ve done so far.
I especially like Levy’s approach of focusing on high frequency lines and found the variations to be generally very thematic and logical (which is good because it doesn't feel like a constant memory test in the opening)
I’m curious which courses other players here would highly recommend. Has anyone tried both the KID & Grunfeld course - which did you prefer? Or what courses have you found to be useful when playing against strong opposition?
Would love to hear your thoughts and recommendations.

Like seriously, half the time you can't even tell from the title what the video is even going to be about. His latest two videos on Tata Steel are titled "New Chess Move : Legendary!' and "Chess 3.0!'
How is anyone even supposed to draw any connection between these nonsensical titles and the Tata Steel Chess tournament? Why do people seem to prefer this rubbish over just 'Tata Steel Round 12 recap' or something clear along those lines?
Opponent missed -M4 and then I found this

Update: I blundered my queen in the next game right after this 😂
... and I won (but not on the board)
Here's an edition of "guess the cheat". Users like these could be slowing your ladder climbs. However, thanks to my chat game, I actually forced my cheating opponent to unwillingly declare themselves as the loser of the game despite grabbing the elo points.
My 10min rapid rating: 1300 chesscom and 1650 on lichess.
I already strongly suspected he was cheating during the game itself, but the game analysis fully confirmed it. I've reported him for cheating, and im not sharing usernames, this is simply a case study in how a cheater will talk about how innocent they are, while they are grabbing top engine moves... Its quite comical, when I see the idea his engine was going for, but he doesnt see it, or doesnt play it in order to look more like a human who doesnt always play the top 1 move 😆
Yes Btw! You guessed it, the cheat is my opponent (White)
Here is the chat: First message i posted at start of game (I post it start of every game, for obvious reasons), and only started writing the rest when it was obvious (to me) that he was an assisted player. He just took too much time on easily convertible position after playing like Magnus Carlsen for a bunch of moves.
Final result: 1 declaration of being the loser from White and between 38 to 43 admissions of inadequacy.
I like it.
Bring me another one.
I played this game of rapid today and was proud to find the best move. Can you?
