I've been using the Motorola Edge 50 Neo for a little over a year now, and the experience has undoubtedly been great so far, except for the battery. Even when the phone is idle, it seems to drain too much battery. I'm not a heavy user, as most of the time I'm on my computer. I mainly just text, listen to music, and scroll social media (not doom scrolling).

I usually charge my phone to full (80%) at night so that when I wake up the next day, I can just take it out and go. However, I've noticed the overnight drain is around 2–3% on average. Then in the morning, it drains a bit faster. By noon, regardless of how much I started with or how heavily I used it, it eventually drains 20–30%. By night, it almost uses up 50-60%, which I know isn’t a lot, but considering how lightly I use my phone, it sometimes feels concerning. It makes me wonder if my battery is damaged or something.

Other than the battery issue, this is undoubtedly a great phone. I've always wanted a clean, minimalist, compact phone, and this one wins in almost every other factor. I'm pretty sure I'll be using this phone for another 3-4 years.

And I've only had two phones in my life. This is the second one. My last phone had a similar battery but it had way weaker hardware and software. Maybe that’s why it used so little battery, and seeing this phone consume what is probably an average amount makes me feel a bit insecure lol.
