Story: My spacecraft was running on fumes going to Jupiter, so I did a gravity assist around Io, and then burned around Jupiter's periapsis. But that still wasn't enough, so I used what little fuel I had to get an encounter with Europa, then lowered my orbit as low as possible around Europa to get as much juice out of this as possible. This lowered my apoapsis from about 4.9 million km to about 4.6 million km. Still not a lot, so I planned on doing gravity assists with other moons until I got a closer orbit around Jupiter.
But I found a better method while going around Europa by accident. By going as close as possible towards Europa and facing a solar panel towards the surface, this impact slows the craft significantly.
