helloo~ first post lol

so i made a language partner on an app, but quickly established he was gaining a lot more from our conversations than i was (his english is way more advanced than my target language) and that we shared a lot in common. we'd call for hours and became friends. he was getting over an ex, and i found him very kind and genuine. as we got more comfortable i became a lot more flirty, perhaps because he is less expressive than other guys i've ever taken an interest to. and he is very reciprocal of this energy, more so in his actions rather than words.

we live pretty close, and he mentioned wanting to hang out irl & i was hoping we could continue having an online friendship in the case these feelings will vanish

this may come off very shallow-- i'm on the taller end of the spectrum for a girl, and he's like much shorter than me. i've only recently had the realization height may be a non-negotiable. oh-- also the ex is my height lol. but the last time i went on a date, the guy was maybe an inch taller than me. i usually easily get turned off by guys in general and i'm wondering if i'd ever be able to get over the height difference:/

i feel like he's such a great guy who deserves someone who is 100% into him. besides for height i think he is cute! i am typically the type to cut the nib in the bud in these situations, but he is sensitive and i would hate to hurt him... what should i do ?
