Maternity leave and short term disability
Question, so I’m pregnant and I should be having my baby in July. I called today to get answers about maternity leave and to formally file my claim and they told me I would get 26 weeks of short term disability plus 6 weeks of bonding leave. I’m in the US. I was shocked and they helped me calculate my return date which ended up being in February. The problem is I am not seeing this anywhere else, my other coworkers were not offered this much last year and google says she might have just told me the maximum possible STD I can get and not what I would actually be getting so now I’m concerned and confused. Has anyone else recently been told they’re getting this much maternity leave and had it actually happen? Or was it given the wrong information?
