Two more Grand-Fractura Lexacts!

Both EU specs:

1974 Grand-Fractura Lexact GF-T (red)

1975 Grand-Fractura Lexact Gf-C (purple)

The GF-T and C Versions of the Lexact are let’s say, your average sports car. Whereas the GF-T Fonck Edition which was definitely made for competition, these versions however brings you more basic characteristics of a sports car. The rear solid axle is definitely more cheaper to produce yet efficient instead of the rear independent double wishbone suspensions of the Fonck edition. That doesn’t mean that these cars canot take corners as well as the Fonck, since we still have some stiff springs and shocks.

The difference between the GF-T and the GF-C:

GF-T:

The GF-T bears a more rugged and mean CIH inline four. Developing at about 170 hp, custom aftermarket parts can take it up to 310 hps. While not really being powerful, it’s perfect for anybody who wish to get into track racing for a cheaper price or a sporty feeling for less.

GF-C:

The GF-C however, while looking just like his brother, is hiding his game a little too well. The Inline Four has been replaced by a straight six. Developing at about 270 hp. That might sounds not that big of jump, but we have to remind you that the car weighs at about 930 kg. So a 100hp difference will be automatically felt. This version is for those who stills looks for a cheaper alternative to a sports car but has a few more to throw into something serious. It’s playing in a more mature category of cars despite its looks. Customize and you get approximately around 300 to 400 hp.

Visual wise the two might look the same but there’s little hints that differentiate one from another.

Let’s start with the GF-T. The stripes looks tribal and points at the front. Followed by another line of shattered stripes just below the arrow shaped look. While the GF-C has a more clean and continuous bottom stripe that breaks anytime there’s a separation like a door or a fender.

The two versions has their letters written just above the fuel cap to really differentiate them appart.

If that wasn’t enough, the GF-T hood is darkened while the GF-C has hood stripe.

To finish, depends on what you wanna spend on you next car, one of them gives different types of driving experience, it’s only up to you.

*though I’m fairly satisfied with how the GF-T looks I totally messed up the looks of the the GF-C.

Tried everything, now I’m leaving up to yours guys

My guess is this some sort of Japanese car that everyone knows except me or one of these American European cars alliances that both sold in the states and in Europe. No need to tell you that it’s front wheel drive and sounds like an inline 4.

1971 Grand-Fractura GF-T Fonck Edition (AMC Gremlin)

It’s a remix of an AMC Gremlin if it was (officially) sold in Europe in the early 70’s.

This one is the GF-T Fonck Edition. A very French special limited series derived from the normal GF-T which is essentially the sport version of the model.

This edition is a commemorative reference to one famous French aviator during world war 1 named René Fonck. Multiple references from his plane can be found on the car like the goose on the side which was a unique design on a single plane and the quad leaf which can be found on the hood (not visible on this concept). He also known to have taken so many enemy planes during ww1 which made him one of the few aviators to have the most kill during ww1.

The car has a reworked interior to be more fitting with the aviator theme of the day, it has a carburated V4 engine producing about 260 horsepower, which is not a lot considering the other GF-Ts from the lineup has more horsepower than that. What makes it more special is the 4 wheel independent suspensions derived from a lotus elan. The architecture of the car is more closer to a Opel Kadett b coupe than the factory gremlin, which is an advantage cause the car is far more lighter than a Gremlin. The car also includes a rear limited slip differential coupled to a 5 speed manual transmission. Visually the car offers a palette of colors from the flagship metallic emerald green to a cloud grey, sunset red, ocean blue, mandarin orange and etc. The car’s options also includes a factory rear louvers as well as side windows covers and an optional vinyl roof.

Lorewise the car sold between 1970 and 1984. The vehicle received multiple facelift during its run and both a EU spec and a US spec. And has multiple versions which includes a really rare “Turbo” variant, Said to only been produced at 159 units.
