My partner is addicted to the benzo, she uses the xanny for 10 years. She tried to drop it and she did it but every “disaster” pulls her back.

The pills she takes doesn’t affect only her, I feel lonely. I often think that I have a child not the partner.

She is emotionally unstable — she screams, cries for hours while sitting in bed, and I sit next to her stroking her back. I’m starting to become cold and withdrawn myself. I’ve stopped leaving the house too; I don’t even have the energy to go to the gym anymore. I work remotely from home. She does too, but only for about four hours a week.

I don’t know what to do. I’m lonely. How do I look for support? Friends — because I don’t have any left anymore.
