So I had a CBC done a couple weeks ago due to a 2 week long stomach issue (bloating, sharp pains, nausea) and swollen groin lymph nodes on my right side. Everything was generally normal, but my total bilirubin levels were high. I had a liver function blood test completed yesterday in order to make sure I didn't have a liver issue. Results showed almost everything was within normal range, however my direct bilirubin levels were high. I looked this up, and found that it's uncommon for direct bilirubin to be higher than total bilirubin. With my total bilirubin levels being high a couple weeks ago, I'm wondering if it's not a false positive. Gonna have the results reviewed by my hospital probably by next week, but while I'm waiting for them to get back to me, I was curious about what people thought of this.
