persistent rib/upper back pain
Hello! I have been having this weird pain in the right side of my upper back (see photo for approximate location) for about a month, and nothing quite seems to help it. most of the time it just feels like an ache/pulled muscle, but it seems to get worse when i am laying on my back and try to bring my chest/shoulders forward, and when i take deep breaths. it feels like i need to crack my back, but i can’t. when i am pressing down on the approximate area i also can’t seem to pinpoint exactly where it hurts, but i can feel it hurting otherwise if that makes sense? almost as if it is within or behind my ribs.
i have been to the chiropractor a couple times, and it has not seemed to have helped. i am mostly just concerned because of how long this has been going on for it to be a pulled muscle like i originally thought, but i am leaning away from it being a lung issue as it feels like it is inside of/in between my ribs (though i guess it could be anyways). i have been freaking myself out over it for the past little bit, and google keeps suggesting lung cancer, which i feel is definitely inaccurate. any ideas? thank you!!
