No oil light?
I have a 2025 transit with the 3.5l PFDI engine. As you may know it takes 12 quarts of oil. Had an oil change recently at the Ford dealership and sure enough they only put 6 quarts in. No oil light or warning came up on the dash.
Before this rig I had a 2020 transit with an eco boost. Seeing as it had no dipstick, I only learned it was low on transmission fluid when it started slipping. Again no warning light etc.
My question is this, these vehicles tell me if my tires are low, if my hands are not on the steering wheel, if I’m driving outside of the lane, about to have a collision etc,etc. So why in the hell doesn’t it tell me if I’m 6 quarts low on oil or almost out of Trans fluid!? It’s almost like Ford wants me to destroy the powertrain 🤔
