Hi book peeps! I’m looking for some new bookish friends/hype people 🫶🏼 I am wanting to find some friends that don’t mind being tagged in constant giveaways etc 🫣
My vibe is a very dark aesthetic and my book vibes are romantasy/dark academia/ dark gothic!! I’m also wanting to try a couple horror books this year too.
I post full reviews if you like that kinda thing and I read a lot of arcs so I can add to your never ending tbr!
I follow every bookish account back and try to engage the best I can!!! 🫶🏼
My memory is very hazy but from what I can remember;
The story is about an old man that owns a toy shop. One day he doesn’t come to the shop (I think he gets ill or goes into a care home) and the toys are sad and left in darkness. Lots of time goes by and they get covered in dust/cobweb’s.
There’s no speaking from the toys (I don’t think) and the illustration I remember are dark shelves with these toys left on them (very dark aesthetic) Then, one day this old man’s family member comes and she tidies up the shop and light comes back(in the illustrations everything lightens back up) and the toys feel loved. The ending is her wheeling the old man in to visit the toys again
I know this is a long shot, everything that came up on Google isn’t it!
I am very new to Reddit but my boyfriend said I should post my reviews etc on here bc he is my biggest supporter 🫶🏼 I’ll drop my booksta account for now but I would appreciate any support. I return every bit of engagement 🖤
