What is the best way to communicate with employees who don’t use email?
One of the biggest communication challenges we faced was keeping frontline teams aligned. We used email for important updates and WhatsApp for daily communication. It worked for a while but later on it became a pattern and important emails were kept missing by most of our field team because they were busy on the ground and rarely checked inboxes during work hours. Also tried a lot of different strategies after that like repeated reminders, follow up messages, separate groups even asking supervisors to manually confirm updates with their teams. We also started researching how other companies were solving communication problems for frontline teams and one pattern we kept noticing was that many teams were shifting communication, updates and documents into one platform instead of relying on scattered tools. We eventually tried a similar approach ourselves and it actually reduced a lot of confusion for the team.
