Kings Canyon Solitude Backpacking w/ Rivers and Forest

I know this is oddly specific, but are there any Kings Canyon / SEKI backpacking trails that feature beautiful rivers / swimming holes that are also off the beaten path. (trying to avoid Rae Lakes and massive crowds) (I'm find with entering through a busier part of the park, but seclusion is a major goal)

Miata vs Golf R

Anyone in this group switched from a Miata to a Golf R? Does it have the same amount of soul and pure driving abilities? I currently drive a 2020 MX-5 100 Year Anniversary Edition, and I absolutely love it, but I'm considering getting a 2026-27 Golf R in the next year or so. I live in an area with WONDERFUL driving roads, tight corners, and it's a very beautiful east coast river valley.
