Finally getting work and referrals working!

Finally getting work and referrals working!

I think demand is spiking like crazy!

I have been offered a few generalist roles recently, after months and months of applications and nothing. I figured my test scores weren't strong enough but the two offers I recently got were at $115 and $100 per hour, which is crazy.

As well, my referrals are starting to get offers. The referral system isn't crazy - referees can make a max of a few hundred bucks at a rate of 20% of what the referral makes. It's not a ton of money in comparison to what you can make as a generalist or consultant but it's nice that the referrals are starting to get work finally.

Is it the same for others? Are people who have been referred getting work?

If anyone still needs referrals, DM me as it seems to make a difference - no promises.

Getting better at vehicle scripting/building

Heyo,

I've been learning scripting and building for about a month. I have enjoyed the terrain builder most but want to use a car as a way to make the terrain interactive.

I followed a video that showed how to make a working car from scratch. It does work but it feels like a POS, which is fair because I'm a complete newb.

Are there any videos or blogs that can show me some of the main ways to make it feel more like a car? I've been toying with it but I want to learn from others who have more experience as well.

Thanks in advance!

Here are three games I’ve already had a small group of Roblox users say sound fun. Now I want to hear a wider audience rank them in terms of what sounds fun to play a few times. I don’t take credit for the ideas as it’s a team effort!

While I’m always interested in ease of build, monitization, and how many competing ideas there are already, the main goal is to make a fun game and go from there.

Thanks in advance!

Option 1: Map You’re Way Out
- the key concept is a maze style game where you get a few minutes to find your way through/ out. At the end of the round, you can hand-draw a map which is useable and editable in future rounds. The time in the maze will likely be visualised by a torch that slowly dies out. You can use in-game money or robux to buy more oil or time.

Option 2: Drunk Driving
- I will probably need to change the theme to more kid friendly but the idea is you’re driving a pre-set course with a time limit of about 1-2 minutes. It’s completely doable but each time you do it, you choose from 2-3 buffs the make it more difficult (slow reaction time, the car lists right, blurred vision etc.). Your goal is to make as many trips as possible. After each success, you are told where in the global leaderboard you would be if you saved. To save, you are no longer able to progress and must start from the beginning.

Option 3: Survive your own shots
- survival based shooter game where you kill NPCs but each new round, the bullets you shot from the round previously are still shot from your ghost. Dodge those bullets and kill the enemy to survive.
