im looking into trying nicotine patches since i rly dont think the med im taking is going to work. usually when i hit nic it lifts my anhedonia for like a minute (but ofc a minute isnt enough) so i truly think nic patches will help. if anyone has experience with trying this please let me know tysm
i started 50mg today and yes it helped anticipatory anhedonia (i wanted to stop doomscrolling, go outside, etc) but it didn’t help with anything social/consummatory. i would say it makes you want to go out, but it doesn’t give you the social capabilities back to be able to. my doctor will have me take 100mg starting next week. not sure if this will make a difference. opinions? hoping to see if it helps socially and i will update
