First ILF recurve setup – does everything fit together / am I missing anything?
Hi,
I’m putting together my first proper ILF recurve setup and would like to check everything before ordering.
I’m right-handed, almost 2 m tall, and my draw length is roughly 31–32" AMO. Because of some health issues, I need/want to start with a fairly low draw weight, so I’m planning to begin at 18 lbs and mainly shoot target/recreationally. If things go well, I may move up to 20–22 lb limbs later.
This is what I currently have in my cart:
Bow
- WNS Explore DX 25" ILF riser
- Kinetic Honoric Carbon/Foam limbs, Long / 70", 18 lbs
- Avalon Classic Fast Flight+ string, 70", 14 strands
Setup
- WNS S-RE arrow rest
- WNS S-PFC plunger/button
- WNS SJA-40 Short sight
- WNS bow square
- Reign nocking point serving thread
- Avalon bow stringer
- Bearpaw string wax
Arrows
- SHOCQ Inceptor 4.2 mm finished arrows
- 32" shaft length
- Spine 600
- 100 gr points
- 12 arrows
- Bohning FERR-L-TITE hot-melt glue
Other gear
- Avalon Classic finger tab
- Avalon Stretchyguard arm guard
- Avalon Classic side quiver
My main questions are:
- Is everything compatible, and am I missing anything important?
- Is there anything in the basket that I could/should remove, or is all of it useful? (Yes, I definitely want the sight ;D)
- Does 600 spine make sense for 32" arrows with 18 lb limbs and an approximately 31–32" draw length, considering that my actual draw weight will be higher than the rated 18 lbs?
- Is there anything you would replace with a better option in roughly the same price range?
Total cost is around €300 before/around shipping, so I mainly want to make sure I’m not making an obvious compatibility or arrow-spine mistake before ordering.
Thanks!
