Did anyone else feel that Star Singer 10 became questionable towards the end?
Shivapriya was definitely good and improved a lot, but especially after the Home Coach rounds, there seemed to be a sudden shift. She started getting full stars/full marks and extraordinary appreciation from the judges almost continuously.
At the same time, contestants like Krishnasree and Theertha, who had been consistently performing well right from the beginning, ended up being pushed down. Dilraj and VidhuRaj, despite being genuinely good contestants, were pushed out altogether. Even Vyshakhan looked like someone with serious finalist potential.
I’m not saying Shivapriya is undeserving or that she isn’t talented. What I find strange is the sudden change in the judging pattern and the way certain consistently strong contestants disappeared while one contestant’s graph shot up dramatically towards the end.
There have also always been rumours about reality shows having behind-the-scenes “adjustments” — production preferences, connections, money, etc. I’ve even heard specific rumours being circulated about Shivapriya’s family and money influencing the result, but I have no idea whether any of that is actually true, so I don’t want to state it as fact.
That’s why I’m curious: How legit and transparent is Star Singer actually? Are the results purely based on performances and judges’ scores, or is there more happening behind the scenes?
