Caught Zepto selling an ice cream above MRP. Worth filing a complaint?
Need genuine opinions — should I file a consumer complaint against Zepto?
Today I ordered an Amul Tricone ice cream from Zepto. The app charged me ₹50 for it, but when I checked the actual cone, the printed MRP was only ₹40.
I contacted support and they offered me a refund, but I refused to take it because my concern is not about ₹10. My concern is that charging above MRP on packaged products is illegal, and I’m wondering how many people never even notice it.
Now I’m thinking about filing a proper consumer complaint against Zepto for overcharging.
Do you think I should go ahead with it, or am I overreacting for such a small amount?
Also, has anyone else experienced over-MRP pricing on Zepto/Blinkit/Instamart?
