This is a BOLO for So Cali collectors
Tuesday into Wednesday I had the near entirety of my collection stolen from Placentia CA. I have called all the local stores to warn them as I had been active in the community some years ago before the separation and ultimately divorce from the ex-wife. She did not steal the cards, she had her opportunity to take what she wanted unhindered during the divorce process and did.
Everything was packed into black and yellow storage containers as I was moving out of the house this weekend, she had already left the house. I would have moved out two - three weeks ago but needed emergency foot surgery. The personal collection has been labeled on the outside of the three rows PC1, PC2... Inside the three rows are hand written index cards with players names. I also did the same for teams. The exception was my royals pc which says royals on the Three row outside but also has index cards with players names.
I'm not wanting any sorry this happened or free shit. I was getting it ready to be sold to fund a wedding and vehicles for my fiancee's teenage daughters as well as recoup 20k in vet bills. This post is mainly to inform people to be aware. Currently due to a lot of stress and trying to remember serial numbers and hunting for photos I can't give much detail on specific cards. The collection was probably 300k+ cards and estimated value was 150-200k. It spanned from the 60s until 2019 mainly.
This isn't the only sub I have to post this in, as I also had about 35+ years of Warhammer and Warhammer 40k and another 100k invested into that I need to mourn.
Thanks for reading if you did now for the question, outside of calling the police ✔️, contacting local stores ✔️, and already having my insurance be called and tell me my insurance doesn't cover theft (fuck you State farm) is there anything else I should do? My soon, 14 days until marriage, wife says therapy, but I'm talking about more the legal side of things or recovery side. Again thanks for reading.
