Mavis 350 too heavy? Opinions?

I've been playing in the UK for when I'm there at many levels of competition. The Standard there for upper level social players is also feather shuttlecocks if not hybrids.

I've been playing at an advanced and competitive level. I don't play too much when I'm back in India mostly just training with whatever feathers are available.

Recently played a bit socially and ofcourse we all switched to the 350 but what genuinely throws me off is how fucking hard you have to hit the shuttle for it go anywhere 😭

Feels like a very heavy slow shuttle. Why is it so popular? Feels like it changes some elements of the sport. Doubles games are so slow cause smash winners are hard to produce.

I've enjoyed Mavis 300, 600, and 2000 much better. They're faster and lighter and still retain 90% of the flight quality that the 350 has.

Halbertec Motor vs Halbertec 3000, comparison and review

When I purchased the halbertec 3000 I got it at a discount and managed to get it for around 6000inr. At that point I was already using my Halbertec motor for a good year or so regularly.

Since the motor is cheaper, I was surprised by what I found. Thought it was best to post a comparison and review. This is coming from the perspective of an advanced ish player.

Halbertec 3000:

Absolutely gorgeous looking white and green color way. The racket feels quite solid in your hand and gives off that strong premium build quality. It's well even balanced probably teetering a bit towards head light. The shaft is li Nings "hard flexible" style which from my experience is them just saying medium stiff. But this is where the halbertec 3000 gets let down. It's a little too much nothing?

It's not so flexible that you can snap a swing and get away with whipping it but it is still flexible. It's also not so head light that you get that extra swing speed but it's still quick... I had my Halbertec strung with bg65 @27 and this felt too soft. So I switched to ultimax @27 and the racket still felt really damp and hollow.

It's quick to swing but not quick enough to stand out. Decent power but let down by the shaft not having any character to it. It's sort of a nothing racket? Doesn't really do anything. It's just bland.

The halbertec Motor makes no sense to me in contrast.

Outside of India the motor retails for much cheaper. In Vietnam it's about 1800inr and in the UK you can get them for about 25-30gbp if you try.

For that value that motor is incredible in contrast. It's a high flex racket but it genuinely feels like that high flex helps in power generation. The head is slightly heavier and overall the racket feels really solid and whippy. I strung my motor with Ultimax and Li Ning no1 usually both @28lbs. It's an incredibly better feeling and doesn't give off that dead string bed vibe.

So I don't understand why the halbertec 3000 retails for that much price when it effectively pales in comparison to the motor. Motor is objectively easier to use, has more power, cheaper and better feel. My only critique of the motor is that you can sort of tell it's a cheap made racket. The detailing and quality control lacks a lot but honestly who cares when the racket itself can perform so much better?

Curious to see if there's any other rackets you guys think will fit into the same even balanced and price category. How do they compare?

Ps: I usually switch between a few premium/pro rackets I have. One tournament day I ended up having none of my main rackets in playing condition. Played with my Motor and never felt like it was holding me back.
