First time solo trip to South of France

I'm 30 year old (male) heading to the south of France on Tuesday and I have a car booked when I get there. I am just looking for places that are recommended for a few days. I only have my first three nights booked in Aix and my last three nights booked in Nice. I've been a bit slack and need to get the other places booked. I was thinking of Nimes or Arles for the next three days after Aix, then onto Saint Raphael or somewhere around the coast. So I'm open to places to stay as a base for three days at a time. I'd like to meet young people also if possible. I'm flying into Marseille and getting my car and driving to Aix en Provence. Thanks.

First time solo travelling

Hi I'm a 30 year old male looking to go on my first solo trip and looking some advice. I've a flight I booked a while ago for August which was kind of by accident as I booked the wrong date and then the airline wouldn't let me cancel or change it so I'm going to make use of it. I fly into Marseille and I already was there for one day 6 weeks ago and then stayed in Cotignac for the rest of my trip. I didn't overly like Marseille but then again I didn't see a whole lot of it. I would like to meet new people as I'm a single guy. I'm trying to plan my trip and not sure where I should Visit. I am going to rent a car and possibly travel to Avignon, Nice and maybe a few other spots and stay a day or two in each place. I plan on going for 2 weeks. All tips and advice welcome on good place in South of France to visit.
