Is 750w enough for 9070xt + future cpu upgrade to an x3d model? (My GPU choice is a mess too).

I currently have a 650w gold+ Thermaltake gf1 and thinking of getting a 9070 non-xt for £520 and keep my PSU, or get a 9070xt + new PSU (price diff between 9070 xt and non xt is £100ish).

In a vaccum, I probably wouldn't pay the £100 extra for the XT version, but I don't want to end up having to upgrade my psu in the future when I eventually get an x3D cpu and end up regretting not buying the PSU + XT earlier.

My cpu currently is 9600x and my gpu is 16gb 9060xt (just got it recently for £400 but want to return it for either 9070 or 9070xt). I won't lie and say the XT + PSU combo won't pinch me now but it'll be fine.

The voices in my head tell me to just get the 9070xt and run it with the psu I have now but 9/10 people online say get 750w, and I don't know if 750w is fine for a future cpu upgrade too.

I play on 1440p a mixture of competitve games and occasional story games when good ones are out (Silent hill 2, RE9, upcoming Assassin's Creed Black Flag, etc..).

I want to avoid touching my build again for a long time with the exception of an x3D cpu later down the line.

Hello, my pc specs were ryzen 5 5600, rx 6600, 32gb 3600mhz, and 650W gold+. Played on 1080p.

Last week I bought a 16gb rx9060xt and a 240hz 2k monitor. My pc has felt sluggish since then. Cpu-heavy games have dogshit fps, while gpu heavy games are hitting 80-100 fps max settings (which im happy with). I am have a lot of fun playing on 2k max settings hitting 80-ish fps but the times my pc decides to stutter are getting to me.

I wanna bite the bullet and just finish my pc with am5 upgrade and a clean system install.

Currently I have my eyes on ryzen 5 9600x (£160), 32gb 6000mhz cl36 (£350), and a Gigabyte B850 EAGLE WIFI6E Motherboard (£150). All UK amazon.

I havent found a reasonably priced x3d cpu other than the 7800x3d for £321 but idk if paying double the price is worth it, I sure would rather not do that.

Also I think my psu is fine? 650W gold+ thermaltake GF1.
