PAX AUS 2026 - Fraudulent Mystery Box by Meeple, any others?

Update: I spoke with them on the phone, they apologised and said warehouse team stocked the boxes and they assumed it was fine. They asked for photos/proof of purchase via email, which I just sent. I'm not sure how they're planning on fixing it but they were nice on the phone.

First of all I hope everyone has had a lovely PAX AUS, and I can't wait to be back next year!

I bought a Mystery Box from Meeple, I hadn't opened it until now because I was waiting for PAX to end to go through all my goodies.

I open the box to find 3 game boxes (Dale of Merchants 1-2-3) without the game! The box says it's meant to have a game board, dice and 110 cards, the boxes only contain empty card sleeves and nothing else.

Now, I understand that these mystery boxes aren't going to have the best games out there (though Dale of Merchants seem fine), we are making a gamble buying them. I am completely okay with them having less popular or not so good games, and as they all state the games sometimes have scuffs and small cosmetic issues, but straight up empty boxes without the game is insane and definitely fraud.

We met a person who said their Meeple mystery box had games that were damaged to a level that they were unplayable, and Meeple let them choose a different game. This is why I opened this mystery box as soon as I got home, only to find this nonsense.

I will call them tomorrow, but this is now an admin job I have to manage which I find annoying. If they don't fix this immediately, then I'll report them to PAX and see what else to do.

Has anyone else had issues with their Meeple Mystery Box?

My first little guy, named him Ralph

I've been thinking of starting whittling for a while, got some supplies from a tackle shop, watched a youtube tutorial for this little guy and bam - I have Ralph!

Honestly I knew I would enjoy whittling, but it turned out to be even more fun than expected, can't wait for my next project.

I'm thinking either a little boat, a cat, or a penguin.

50% Achievement Completion, 69 perfect games!

I had a ton of games that I only had 1-2 achievements in, so I had a really low Avg. Game Completion when I started trying to 100% games. Ever since I've been trying to increase it and finally hit 50%!

Currently playing Spider-Man Remastered and having a blast.

#62 - Berry Bury Berry

i love "numbers go up" type games anyway, this was really fun for me, overall quite easy with just a few puzzles, and a story you slowly uncover. creepy but no jump scares.

Rarest Achievement Showcase started showing restricted games?

hey all, today for some reason my perfect games went from 60 to 70, and looking through i saw that the restricted games i completed (nothing crazy) were also counting for completion now.

i had seen the number go up & down before, usually when i refreshed it went back to normal. this time, it's showing as 70 on my PC & my phone, and it's not changing regardless of refreshes.

steam hunters still show these games as restricted, so I'm confused, is this happening to anyone else?
