LAN Internet randomly disconnects/reconnects during gaming after PC was unplugged for a week
My PC is connected to the router via both a LAN cable and a USB Wi-Fi adapter. Everything was working perfectly with no disconnects. However, I went away for a week and completely powered off my PC, flicked the PSU switch to OFF, and unplugged all the cables. After returning a week later and plugging everything back in, the internet started acting up. Now, after a couple of hours of gaming, the LAN connection suddenly drops completely. Windows behaves as if the ethernet cable was physically pulled out and plugged right back in, and then the connection recovers.
What I've tried so far (didn't help)
Disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" in Device Manager for both the Realtek PCIe GbE Controller and the Realtek USB Wi-Fi adapter.
The router itself was left ON the whole week and works fine; the issue seems isolated to the PC's network card dropping the connection under load.
