Dye day has been rough on my scalp lately. The smell, the burning and my hair feeling like straw after every single session. My grays are coming in fast around my temples and I need to color pretty regularly so the irritation has been getting worse. Someone mentioned ammonia free formulas are easier on mature hair but honestly I have no idea where to even start with that. What are you guys actually using? Especially if you have stubborn grays that resist color. Would love something that covers well without wrecking my hair every time.
