I tried searching for similar issues but didn't find anyone with *quite* the same one. My US Saturn works just fine with original discs, haven't had any problems reading/playing them. But on reproductions, it only plays some. I mostly buy fan translations and/or unaffordable games. Magic Knight Rayearth, Princess Crown, Policenauts work great. Grandia did not. Sakura Wars Disc 1 works. Got to Disc 2 and it freezes after the first cutscene. Bought a SECOND copy of Sakura Wars from a completely different person making reproduction discs, neither worked at all. Is this a laser issue, if it's so selective? Is it just the discs? Again, all my original discs work great, and I've got ... too many games.
