Photos rejected for looking like military/police.. twice!
My husband, two children, and I all had to renew our passports. I was able to do mine online, but we had to do the Kids and husband in person. We got our photo taken and sent information in. Mine was approved right away, and the kids followed shortly thereafter. I think got a letter saying that my husband’s picture was rejected because it looked like he was in military/law-enforcement attire. Very bizarre. He was wearing a light green Old Navy T-shirt. No accessories (hat, glasses etc), no camo, nada.
So, we were able to take new pictures and send them in with a letter. It cost me an extra $30 to take the pictures and priority mail the information back to the agency. We got another letter that it was in progress and felt like it was going well. Then yesterday, I got another letter saying that his pictures were rejected AGAIN for the same reason and it is highlighting that he cannot wear camo. He doesn’t own one piece of camo gear and was wearing a Old Navy grey T-shirt in the picture. He also looks nothing like military or law-enforcement and has a normal haircut. ( no buzz etc). I am flabbergasted as to why this keeps happening. I called the number on the letter, but they couldn’t tell me anything. Other than that. I have to get yet another picture to them. So I had him wear a bright colored collared shirt and overnighted it. We leave in five weeks for our trip and I am praying that this one takes but I am still really confused. Has anyone else had this happen?
