Heyo! This is kind of a reach for me so bear with me.

I’ve been trying to make friends, especially friends with kids (3 and under), but I’m struggling. Facebook is the consistent recommendation to network with parents, and I’ve tried it multiple times, but every time I have gotten somewhere, things just don’t click.

To get personal a little bit, I’ve felt insanely judged, ghosted, or ended up hanging with people too old for me (little judgement here, but it’s the generation thing where they just don’t understand modern things).

Playgrounds have also been a major hit or miss if we go by ourselves.

My kid is entering their toddler years, and I feel guilty for not being able to find a friend for them yet. Especially since being around kids their age helps with social development skills.

Are there any parents in their mid 20’s in this sub that would like to arrange a hangout? Even if it’s once a month.

I would also love to chat with y’all if anyone’s interested just to break the ice and any social anxiety if anything does come of this.

Making friends is already insanely difficult with or without kids, but if anyone’s interested let me know! It’s really appreciated just to try!

We went on the trail recently to revisit the huge tree that’s there in the middle of trail. But, due to them rerouting us because of the bunch of fallen trees and such, we didn’t get to walk on the original path, and we didn’t see it.

My partner and I are now wondering if we confused ourselves about there ever being a big tree on this trail. It’s been a couple years so…

I *swear* it was kind of in the middle of the trail, near where everything started to get wet, and we had to climb up the hill after seeing it.

I remember it being very rooty, and it was like a sight from a movie, where there was the perfect sunlight, and enough space and emptiness around the tree amidst all the flora to be like “Damn, THAT is a nice tree”.

Like Deku Tree (LoZ) vibes.

I’m just needing some reassurance or a correction. Is it in San Felasco, and it’s just not available to us at the moment? Or is it a different trail?

P.S. It’s NOT the big trees at Cellon.

Update: YES IT EXISTS!! Thank you! I almost forgot it almost has the Totoro portal in the roots. Man I miss it 🥹😔
