A new neighbor moved into the apartment across from mine.

Nice guy.

Polite.

The weird thing was he always knew what I had done that day.

Movies I'd watched.

Meals I'd cooked.

Phone calls I'd made.

Eventually I asked how.

He smiled.

"I haven't moved in yet."

I laughed awkwardly.

Then I noticed the apartment behind him was completely empty.
