This older Bike Friday NWT I bought used 4 years ago and only traveled with it twice just to tool around on. Almost sold it bit decided to keep and fix up. Thanks to Sheldon Brown info I changed the 7 speed cassette to a new 10 speed, minus one cog do I have 9 speeds. The Sram 3x7 internal gearing is giving me trouble to get right bit I found a Seattle bike ship that specializes in maintenace for these hubs so thats next on my list. I replaced all housing and cable, NOS Shimano 105 right shifter and rear derailleur and a Shimano Dura Ace left thumb shifter. Brools B17 saddle. New BF decals. Bike rides so well and fun with the 20” wheels its becoming my main ride.

Im looking for suggestions to remove lettering from seat post. Im fixing up my Bike Friday. Just replaced decal stickers.

I'm looking for ideas to replace the drive train on my Bike Friday NWT. It's older and very well used when I bought it on CL. It did the trick for a couple of short weekend trips to have to tool around on. Now, it's becoming pretty much my main ride due to it's foldability and I like the ride. The rear wheel has a 3 speed internal hub for 7 speed cassette. Rear spacing is 135 mm. I'm thinking of just replacing the wheel and going with a 1X setup since the STI shifters are pretty bad. Any ideas?
