$300 monthly budget good?

I’m an incoming freshman and I’m just trying to work out an allowance system with my parents. Can’t tell if I’m either, 1) spoiled and $300 is more than enough, or 2) still naive to the wealth I’m going to encounter at NYU. Both could be true, I’d just like some second thoughts on other students monthly budgets, how they make it work, and what the financial stigma is like here. Most of this money would probably go to eating out and necessities like toiletries/supplies, plus occasional entertainment events like catching a Knicks game or a Met Opera/Broadway show

Please help: Incoming freshman worried about transcripts not being sent on time and I might be screwed

My secondary school sent out transcripts for everyone I know but me. The deadline is July 15 (writing this on July 14 at 1 AM), so I'm likely going to have to submit a request to extend my deadline but I'm not sure if my reason is good enough.

I requested that my transcript be sent to my college on May 13 but back in early June, though I was still committed to my original choice, I asked my school to send my final transcript to a local community college because I was torn between career paths. There was miscommunication (which I'll take blame for) but my school didn't understand that I wanted the transcript sent to BOTH institutions so that I'd have my options open.

What makes this somewhat messier is that after I decided I'd stick to original, I never actually notified that community college I wouldn't be enrolling there. Matter of fact I haven't taken any type of action with the CC after I made my decision (meaning I haven't done any orientations, class registrations, etc.) not thinking any problems would arise. I feel like if college sees this its not a good look.

I was obviously really careless and for lack of a better term, potentially shown "disloyalty" to the college. Can I please get some second opinions on if this is a valid reason or not?
