Is it smarter to rent or buy property in Dubai right now?
Been thinking about this a lot lately because the market feels very mixed at the moment.
On one side, I still see many people trying to buy house in Dubai, especially in areas like JVC & Arjan where prices seem more realistic compared to some luxury communities. A few people I know were seriously searching for a house for sale in Dubai recently because rents have gotten so high that buying almost feels like the smarter long term move.
But at the same time, the regional situation and ongoing war tensions seem to be making buyers more cautious too. Some friends who were planning to invest are now waiting a few months to see how things play out before committing.
That’s why I’m confused about where the market is actually heading. Some people still say current house prices in Dubai are good compared to other global cities, while others think the market could soften if uncertainty continues.
Personally, it feels like Dubai real estate is in this weird stage where demand is still there, but confidence is a bit more cautious than before.
For people living in UAE right now, what’s the actual vibe on the ground? Are people still actively buying property or mostly waiting and watching for now?
