Dubai Sobha Sactuary Project

I wanted to get the general sentiment on the Dubai Sobha Sactuary Project that has just been launched. What is the general sentiment on their listing for the 1 Bedroom Apt? Is it a good investment and if so, would be gauged as short term or long term?

Be Bodywise hair growth serum review? UAE scalp is confusing me

has anyone in UAE used the Be Bodywise hair growth serum roll on?

not asking for influencer reviews. i mean actual people here who used it and can say if it made any difference or just made scalp oily.

my hair situation after moving here is weird. not fully bald patches or anything but hair fall is more than before, scalp gets oily fast, ends are dry, and after shower my hair feels sticky/frizzy. when i travel out and come back, i feel the difference again so idk if it’s water, AC, heat, diet, vitamin D or just Dubai doing Dubai things.

i saw this Be Bodywise roll on and the applicator looks convenient because normal serums are annoying to apply on scalp. but i have oily scalp so i’m worried it’ll make me wash my hair more often.

anyone used it for a proper amount of time?

did it reduce hair fall? did it make scalp oily? any itching? worth buying from UAE or skip? also do you use it daily or only after washing?

honest negative reviews also welcome. i just don’t want to buy another thing that sits in bathroom.

Mashreq ATM withdrawal charges for another Bank Card showing 26AED applicable fees while withdrawing money

Hello,
Has anyone encountered this from Mashreq ATM, I have noticed this twice. While i was using my liv debit card for withdrawing money from a mashreq ATM. Before the last step to withdraw. There is pop up on the screen which mentions there is AED 26 applicable fees to proceed. I have ended up declining the transaction when i have seen this

As far as I know that the standard rate is 2 AED if used to withdraw money from other bank’s atm

Any advise?

I checked with Liv and they said there no sort of charge like this on normal withdrawals and at max it is 2 AED

Look for a pre-occupied master bedroom to share

I’m a 26-year-old Indian female professional. I keep to myself, respect personal space, and maintain a very clean and hygienic living environment.

Ideally, I’m looking for something near the Red Line Metro with a budget of 1,600 AED (inclusive of all bills, though I can stretch it slightly for a perfect match).

If you or anyone you know is looking for a flat mate, please drop me a message. Would love to chat! ☀️

Sensory issues medication

Everything feels stick, the floor, my pillow, and my skin doesn't feel ok.

When I take shower I feel normal like before, but it that last only for hours.

I didn't have these issues except when I was very young and specifically when my mother would fry something.

I do not go to doctors. Don't ask why.

  1. Anything I could take? And what was your experience with the it.

  2. Why this came back now!?

One last thing, the light getting bright issue came back as well. I don't need meds for that because I don't turn on light.

I have observed that anger, excitement, ailment, and being weak from infections makes me hate light... I am not healthy at all.

The skin agitation is not going away and it has been months!!!

I am tired, both (I have lisp)

Emiratis, how taboo is therapy & antidepressants right now?

question to Emiratis: do you go to therapy? Like a regular weekly sit-downs with a psychologist? And what about being on antidepressants?

Is this topic still secretive, or/and shameful?

Can I openly say I have a therapist and I’m on antidepressants without fearing that I will be marked with a permanent Scarlet Letter "C" on your head for crazy?

Expats; please don't take offense. I'm asking Emiratis because I want to get a sense of how normalized this actually is within our culture.

Moving to Dubai ( palm Jumeriah/Marina )

Moving to dubai and palm seems like to have best place for spacious, luxury units. Would have preferred to live in Marina, JBR but the units and buildings are old af. How much of difference in quality of life, ease of movement, transport, dine out it would make?

What are pros and cons of living in palm? The one Im aware about is bottlenecked traffic. How's gym, health food, fitness, sports scene there?

Thinking about relocating our family to Dubai from the UK (London area)

Nothing is set in stone yet. We’re mostly trying to get some honest perspectives from people who actually made the jump from Europe/UK to the UAE. We are a couple in our mid-30s with two young sons. I’m originally south asian but grew up entirely in England (can't speak a word of my family's native language tbh) and my wife is British. Income-wise, we pull in around £250,000 a year from our e-commerce brand and a couple of software projects we've scaled.

We've been falling down a bit of a rabbit hole watching vlogs about Dubai recently and it got us talking. Safety is the absolute biggest thing driving this. The UK right now just feels increasingly sketchy (can't mention details cause it's about politics already). We just want a cleaner, safer environment for the kids to grow up in. Our current business setup is mostly automated or handled by a remote team, so I can focus on starting new concepts from basically anywhere. Plus, we own a house in Surrey we could liquidate to clear roughly £700k in clean capital for whatever we decide to launch next in the Gulf.

HELP!!

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to start a business in Dubai by importing women’s undergarments (seamless underwear, bras, shapewear, etc.) from China.

Before I invest, I have just a few questions for people who’ve actually done this:

Is importing these products into Dubai generally straightforward, or are there customs, licensing, or regulatory issues I should know about?

What’s the best way to find trustworthy suppliers with consistently good quality and avoid getting scammed?

If you were starting this business today, what advice would you give yourself before placing the first order?

I’d really appreciate hearing about your real experiences both the good and the bad. Thanks!

Nobody warned me about this in Dubai...

I moved to Dubai recently and there is one thing absolutely nobody warned me about...

The hot water 😭

I expected the air outside to feel like opening an oven, but I genuinely thought I could at least take a cold shower to recover. Nope.

I turned on the cold tap today and it felt like it had been connected directly to a kettle. The water coming out was HOT. Not warm. HOT.

I'm exhausted from the heat all day, and when I finally get home, I can't even cool down with a shower because the pipes have basically become giant solar heaters.

How do people survive this every summer? Is there some secret Dubai life hack that every resident knows but forgets to tell newcomers?

Do you just shower at 3 a.m., let the water run forever, install a cooling system, or simply accept your fate?

Seriously, I'm melting. Any advice would be appreciated.
