I’ve always wondered how Malayalam film directors manage financially.

Take Jude Anthany Joseph as an example. He has directed only around 5 films in 12 years. Even after the success of 2018, his next film (Thudakkam) is taking years.

● If a director earns ₹50 lakh for a film (just a hypothetical example), and there is a 4-year gap before the next movie, that is only around ₹12.5 lakh per year before expenses and taxes.
● Is one movie’s income enough to manage these gaps?
● Do directors earn through profit sharing or royalties?

Curious to know how the financial side of Malayalam cinema directors actually works.

Malayalam Medium Engineer struggling with interview communication after 11 years in Software Engineering

Malayalam medium background is not an excuse, I know. But I feel it has impacted my confidence in spoken English during professional conversations.

I’m a software Engineer with 11 years of experience. I’m confident in my technical skills, especially architecture and system design, but I’m struggling to crack interviews because I’m not able to present my experience and ideas effectively.

For engineers who faced a similar challenge — how did you improve your communication skills for interviews? What practices helped you explain your technical work better and build confidence?

Technical Skills Are Strong, But I Can’t Impress Interviewers — How Do Senior Engineers Improve Communication?

I’m a Data Engineer with 11 years of experience. I feel confident in my technical skills, especially around technology architecture and system design. I can design and explain solutions from an engineering perspective.
But I’m struggling to crack interviews at good companies.

I feel the main gap is my communication skills. During interviews, I’m not able to present my experience in an impactful way or impress the interviewer. My English speaking skills are also not very strong, and I think that affects my confidence.

For people who have faced a similar situation, how did you improve your interview communication skills? What practices helped you become better at explaining your technical experience and architecture decisions?
Looking for advice from experienced engineers who have overcome this.
