Consulting and IB jobs?

I'm an incoming undergrad student majoring in biomedical engineering. Wanted to check how easy it is to get investment banking or consulting jobs if you are doing engineering, especially in a field like bioengineering?

What percentage of the class gets placed into consulting or IB?

Dubai as a place to retire

I am an international who has spent time in Dubai in the past. How would you view Dubai as a place to potentially retire? If one has saved, say, somewhere between $5 million and $10 million USD, could it be a good place to retire or retire early?

I personally think taking a place in Dubai or Ras al Khaimah and enjoying the city life, and also the centrality of Dubai from a travel perspective makes it an attractive spot. I know some of the expenses are high but if you buy your own place and manage some of the costs, could it be an attractive place to retire? What do you think?

Get up and go in the mornings

One of the big expectations I have is improvement in the get up and go feeling in the morning. Those who got on TRT, did you experience an upside on that dimension?

Workload for umdergrad engineering?

I'm an incoming student into Imperial. My major is biomedical engineering. Wanted to get a sense of the workload undergrad engineers have across the years. What has your experience been in terms of workload and being able to accommodate hobbies and other things along with the academics. Thanks a tonne!

What’s the single best moment or day you’ve had at Imperial so far?

What’s the single best moment or day you’ve had at Imperial so far?

We complain a lot on here, but let's change it up for a second.

A random night with friends, a legendary event, or just a really good afternoon in one of the buildings, what’s one core memory this place gave you?

Is UIUC a target school for McKinsey, Bain, BCG? Which consulting firms is it a major target school for?

I am likely to do my engineering from UIUC. While I'm intending to major in bioengineering I am also interested in consulting. Wanted to understand if UIUC is a major target for consulting firms and especially the top-tier MBBs?

Biomedical engineering undergrad - Imperial vs UIUC (undeclared engineering)? Advice needed

I've secured admission for biomedical engineering - M. Eng. at Imperial College, London and also for undergrad undeclared engineering at University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign (UIUC) in the US. The admit in UIUC is for undeclared engineering, which I'm intending to convert to bioengineering after the first semester or two.

Would love thoughts from experienced folks about what to do? Do I opt for the richer ecosystem and the flexibility in the U.S. system or the prestige and the rigour that Imperial will help me master? What would you do if you were in my place? I am an international student and would love your thoughts and experiences...

Do McKinsey, Bain, and BCG recruit from UIUC? Which majors?

Which consulting firms target UIUC as a school? Are there majors that are targets versus others or are they open to a broad set of majors from UIUC?

Imperial College, UK vs UIUC, US for Umdergrad Biomedical Engineering?

I have secured admission both into Imperial College UK and UIUC USA. I am an international student and my objective is to establish a long-term career in biomedical engineering. Hence learning and having an environment which exposes me to opportunities for internships and exposure to the biomedical industry is most important. Which one would you recommend between the two, Imperial College UK or UIUC US? Thanks.

Need advice - Reval (EUR) - school coordinators not sharing compinent scores

I got lower marks than expected in two subjects - economics and physics. I'm considering sending these two papers for re-evaluation, however my teachers and coordinator are not willing to share any insights on the component scores with me. The school has said they will not be sharing any insights or component scores.

I am feeling cheated and unsupported. Is there a way I can request for component scores to be shared with me? Is it not my right to have these shared? Would love to know how to play it in this case. Thanks.

Dubai South - Hayat next upcoming phase - invest or not?

Believe Dubai South is launching the next wave of townhouses and villas as a part of its Hayat project/community. I have heard this is coming out in the next couple of days or so for expression of interest checks. What are your views on this upcoming launch? It seems to be priced well, but I am not sure on the quality of the amenities and overall delivery. Would you recommend this to a potential investor with a two-to-four-year investment horizon?

Thanks.

Binghatti?

Hi! Wanted opinions on the new Binghatti launch - townhouses and villas. What do you think about the future appreciation potential and the pricing?

Is the location promising? The layouts seemed somewhat small. What would be a better townhouse/ villa project to invest in?

Please give me your thoughts...
