I picked up a beautiful silver desk set and I was wondering what was traditionally done with the wax seal. Did they send them off to an engraver?

I'm getting ready to send off some fountain pen ink samples to u/lambroghini for reviews at IAMPETH. With any luck, we'll be set to launch a line of ink in the coming months. Here's a sneak peak of what we have so far.
