Just need some input

I was hoping I could use these graphics options for a default anime profile. Thoughts?

Just checking something

Would you guys say these settings are good? I'm currently encoding both seasons of Mushoku Tensei. Trying to get a good balance between preserving the visuals and reducing file size.

(Also, the reason why I'm not using animation tune is because the blu-rays have a decent amount of film grain on them and I figured it was a good idea to keep it in.)

For context, an average of 6 GB an episode goes down to an average of 800MB.

My Realization (that might not matter to you)

For some context, I have a bit of a hobby for collecting blu rays and dumping them on PC. Oftentimes, I compress the videos in the process, including audio, for which there are several codecs.

The Trails series also happens to be my favorite jrpg series of all time, so I decided to investigate the audio codecs used to see if I could compress them. Most notably, Trails of Cold Steel I and II use the .wav codec for its bgm. WAV is a lossless codec, meaning it matches the quality of the original source perfectly. On paper, this seems amazing, but in practice, it actually takes up a lot of storage space, and has been completely superseded by its small and still lossless successor, FLAC. However, FLAC is also not needed when Opus, while technically lossy, stays very close to the original source's quality. Most notably, Trails of Cold Steel III and IV happen to use Opus for their sound.

With this in mind, I attempted to test to see if the .wav extension was needed or if it could just register the sound file names (i.e. ed8001, ed8100, etc.). To do this, I compressed them in fre:ac using the Opus Audio Encoder 1.3.1, and replace the WAV files with the Opus ones. The best way to determine the success of this process is whether or not the menu music played. If it registered the compressed soundtrack, then 2.4 GB out of 20 GB would be cut; an over 10% file reduction.

Unfortunately, the menu music would not play upon running the game, only the train sound effects, meaning that the test had failed. I tried to use FLAC files instead, since the Opus codec had come out in 2012 versus 2001 for FLAC, and the pc port of Cold Steel I came out in 2015. However, still no luck.

I figured I would post this to see what everyone thinks, and maybe I could get some advice, or even better, this could inspire a mod to add support for FLAC and/or Opus. But I know I'm just dreaming.

Pls halp

I am desperately in need of a Cold Steel 4 save. I accidentally deleted it. For context, >!I have just made it to Crossbell in Act I and my characters are between levels 73-77. All enemies, books and profiles up to this point have been obtained.!<

It's not the end of the world if no one has the exact save file I'm looking for. As long as it's reached a similar point in the story, and relatively close in leveling, I'm fine with that.

Edit: Whoops! forgot to mention that I got all AP too! Should've been in the main body.
