Question on Trails in general starting with Cold Steel 3

So I'm on CS3.. I'm only on Chapter 1-2 so far BUT one thing I've noticed unlike earlier trails games is that most of the stuff in the game is finally on the minimap. and by most I just mean hidden quests, books, side objectives (munk for example). Is this game reasonably able to be 100% cleared without a guide? Previous games I feel the answer to that was "absolutely not at all". But am I Crazy for thinking that with CS3, it's starting to be possible?

Note I'm playing on Switch.. so actual 100% doesn't matter again until Reverie.. just curious more than anything.

Is Rean a better swordsman than Shizuna? She stole his spirit unification technique and also broke his sword in the Reverie daydream... Is she the better warrior?

Builds for Reverie

I’m playing Reverie on Nightmare and I just finished the second stratum of the True Reverie Corridor. I’m having an okay time but I’m honestly overwhelmed with how many characters there are. I have my core group but I want to use more of the characters and I honestly have no idea how to build them. I have seen one guide online of like super endgame builds but I’d love to see some mid game builds which would play a little different. Like I have no idea how to build Renne. In previous games I always built her as a caster but that seems like it’s not a great way to build her in Reverie. Would love to take a look at some people’s builds so I can figure out how to build and incorporate some of my less used characters and come up with my perfect Reverie corridor team.

Automaton China put out a review for Kyoto Xanadu

I believe this is the first review of the game we have as even JP sources haven't dropped anything yet.

The game is only around 30 hours long if you play it quickly, and this includes side quests as well, so it does seem to be a medium to small game when it comes to Falcom's standards.

So just one question I'd like to clarify with the ending of Cold Steel IV before I move on to Reverie.

Is true ending Rean the very same Rean I've been controlling since the first game?

With how the game is framed, it genuinely feels like the normal ending Rean is the one I've been controlling then he dies, and then the player jumps to a very identical timeline where everything is the same up until Franz takes control again and reminds Rean that he has the cage.

Azure showed that there are alternate possibilities that KeA can tap into but the implication is that she altered events to the SSS never died in the first place rather than there being a timeline where the SSS died still existing. Lloyd seems to have been shunted back, since he has some phantom memories of the old timeline.

So what's true ending Rean's deal exactly? Am I playing as a whole new Rean or was the normal ending just a what if that doesn't actually exist? I'm getting kinda existential here.

Overdosing Heavenly Bliss wins Sky 3rd! Now, what is your favorite boss theme in Zero?

(Previous posts: FC, 1st, SC, 3rd.)

With the Sky trilogy settled, we now move to the opener of the Crossbell duology, Trails from Zero! A shorter pool of candidates here, only 5 songs. (A certain Zero song isn't being counted here as it's only used as a boss theme in Azure; so it'll be a candidate in tomorrow's post.) What would you call your favorite boss theme in the game that kicked off Lloyd's adventures?
