The elevator before the Administrator post game
I just noticed this after finishing NG+… so the Kunai you killed wasn’t the same one that was helping you. That makes me feel better about her random betrayal lol.
Nice little secret here.

Another platinum in the books at least. Cheers Game Freak. I really hope you make the game better For Those Who Come After.
Next up: Trails on the Sky Second Chapter Remake. Probably?
Played on Hard difficulty from the get go. Managed to defeat most bosses in one try including the final bosses and even the first Kunai fight.
Combat had a lot to choose from in the skill tree but at the end of they day it was helm split on most regular and elites repeatedly until you win and during all bosses it was a matter of dumping all your bolts and arrows before going anywhere near the Nushi. The second Kunai fight at the end I barely broke a sweat…even in Hard mode.
Music was OK but there was not enough variety. It got tiresome hearing the same track over and over again.
Can’t swim in a game developed in 2026? Why?
Hair traversal was fun and a cool unique idea.
Some people said there wasn’t enough enemy variety…. This is false. There was plenty of different enemy types. Bosses on the other hand were mostly fought at least twice and many had very similar movesets.
Too many skills to chose from and equip. Less would have been more. It was a bit overwhelming.
I maxed out the Cleanse walker abilities pretty quickly which made collecting skulls essentially a waste of time for most of the game.
Cooking mechanic was neat but they went overboard with the number of options lol.
Too many weapons and armor choices were too similar. At least give us the special attributes from the get go and not only after parrying… would have made the game much funner.
Armor sets should have given costume changes. The only costume changes that were offered were lame. Ooooh “No hat Emma!” For a game that pulled so much from Stellar Blade this was a swing and a miss.
Maps were surprisingly large and not boring to explore honestly.
The game was way longer than I expected which was a bonus but the pacing was brutal at times.
Kagura was annoying and most of her cutscenes were pointless and added nothing to the story.
I grew irritated at how slowly Emma, Kagura and Brad spoke.
Kunai up and turning her back on you out of nowhere felt cheap and a cop out.
Not getting a final level in Shambala was very disappointing. Did they explain why looking at it resulted in death?
The Administrator was very lame as the Antagonist. You don’t even get to fight him.
The story overall felt creative and picked up the pace near the end but much of the game was repetitive. “Oh neat I had to find 30 keepers that all answer one similar question and then peace out.”
Graphics felt good and they did some neat stuff with the Blight early on but then sort of didn’t try much with it after the first couple levels.
Fish were way too sparse. Was there even anything else you could put in the incubator except for chickens?
Fast travel was generous but got ridiculous near the end with a campsite every 5 seconds lol.
They kind of tried to puzzle it up with the oil jars but ultimately they fell well short of the mark with exploration puzzles. There was a lot of wasted potential with exploration. For example the apartment buildings were impressive in size and scope but were mostly empty.
The economy in the game was meh. The merchant was a poor man’s Resident Evil 4 clone and the stuff you could buy or sell was meh.
I still have NG+ to do so I can platinum but even with the so called increased difficulty I expect to steamroll it easily.
Overall a decent game but fell well short of expectations and honestly a good try from the Pokemon company for a new IP but it’s not going to win any awards. One of the most disappointing games I’ve played this year right next to The Adventures of Elliot and a step below Crimson Desert. I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it was but I’m not mad about it.
Light 7/10.
This is a sign from the Beast to cease my pursuit and go back home lol. Message received!
That sub city does sound interesting…. Hope I’m ready!
What a game.
Played from start to finish on Hard and had a blast the whole time. My favorite of the three so far.
I didn’t mind the final boss but I went in level 84. I could see why people would be upset if they lost that fight and had to sit through all of the again.
Best fight mechanics, awesome music, great characters. Hard to find much fault honestly though I hope they get the accessory and money systems figured out someday. I basically never bothered to buy anything and rarely paid attention to said accessories. They finally cracked collectables though which I liked and side quests were mostly fine (except for one involving potatoes….)
I haven’t played Xenoblade X yet but my plate is full so I’ll be starting Future Redeemed next and chip away at that while possible streaming Beast if Reincarnation as well. Always more worlds to save.
Special shoutout to Poppi at the end!
I really hope I live long enough in this world to see Nintendo acquire Xenosaga and remake those games. Fingers crossed.
I do what I can, for the people.
This is achievement number 52.
Just got to the end of Chapter 6 and I was like…. No way it can’t be the same person… is it?
Now this just keeps getting more interesting!!
Can’t say enough awesome things about this game.
How did it not win GOTY that year?
🫨
I just got to the throne room in chapter 4 and when the Queen shows up with Consul N and Mio says she knows him my brain went hmmmmmm. And then Noah had a reaction and then I thought…. He looks like Noah…. Noah… Consul N.
NO WAY.
🤣
Well done, Monolith Soft you crafty beauties you.
I literally just paused the game to share my realization with a group of people that probably already know and have seen others like me go down this path before haha.
This reminds me when in Xenoblade 2 I realized Melos had the Monado.
Great game.
Square really didn’t mess around when it came to the Dragon fight. That was crazy hard lol. But, we did it 😭
To those that managed to beat the game on Very hard I ask you, did you sufficiently crap your pants as well? I even died the first time after the power up scene and found out it was unstoppable the next time 😅
I did manage to get to the 11th boss though out of 12 on that challenge on Very Hard so I guess that’s kind of decent? Lol
But yeah totally wussed out for the final trophy.
Fantastic game. Still doesn’t top my current GOTY leader Resident Evil 9 but this was a great game in its own right.
Challenging trophies, fun, never boring and honestly engaged with a lot of the community on my YouTube channel while I played.
Can’t wait to see what they do next at YC.
Next up, the Adventures of Eilliot.
If anybody has any questions about these trophies I will help if I can 🫡
Just starting this run and looking to get advice from those that have done it already.
I understand that if I ever die if I don’t crash the game quickly the run ends as you always appear in an Underlab.
I quit to main menu in a room with save tile and when I reloaded my mouse shot up on the geyser as if she was in the underlab. Does this ruin the run?
How do you respawn enemies so you can grind levels and stuff?
How do you respawn candles?
I understand getting the fishing rod early can help you randomly collect healing vials.
I think those are my main questions for now.
Cheers.
Welp I thought I had it figured out. My plan was to get two trinkets, an extra pouch and that’s all. After maxing my attack and defence things were looking good and then I did some math and thought I could also buy a spark and then the green cloak. That plus the train ticket put me at a total of +7 items. I sold 10 before the final boss and figured that would do it. I was wrong.
I ended up at 0%.
Fortunately I made a backup save before I purchased the spark but now I have only 1 generator. Overall it took me 4 more hours to get to the end so I’m going to pick it up again tomorrow but man, so disappointing.
Do not buy the spark and cloak if you intend on using trinkets.
Take heed 😪
Oh and I disabled auto updates because they apparently took away my go to combo of beckoning collar and dead leaf / joule syringe today as I was playing. Luckily somebody tuned into my stream and warned me!
I’m sure this comes up all the time for newbies but Moebius B is absolutely steam rolling me. I got like 5% off his health bar before wiping. And I’m 2 levels higher.
What the heck?
🥵
Lowkey hilarious that Elliot finds Oliver dead and is sad about it for all of 10 seconds before continuing on his way lol. Meanwhile his fiancée is left to pick up the shattered pieces of her heart.
I think Elliot might actually be a sociopath lol.
RIP Oliver, you deserved so much better in life….
Today I rolled credits on Torna. Bravo. Excellent DLC despite a bit of a gauntlet of side quests at the end lol.
I am not interested in beating the super bosses as I am looking forward to a good three weeks of part 3 before I get sidetracked by the Adventures of Elliot.
Is it really possible for them to beat the second game? I hear they may have managed to pull it off.
Without spoilers, how awesome is this going to be?
At the start of every fight she throws half her HP off a cliff and is a huge liability. Please tell me I can shut that ability off somehow.
Great game so far, running around area 3.
Just a thought here but when you pick up weapons on the fly wouldn’t it be 1000x better if there game just auto swapped whatever was in that slot instead of making you click the old weapon? Is that meant to act as a confirmation? If it would just auto swap and you don’t want the weapon then you could just auto swap immediately again. I find battle pretty hectic and I think this would make the game much better.
Just an opinion.
Took me about 450 hours but it’s time to move on. Was a great game.
Enjoyed the exploration, the puzzles were especially a blast. In the end boss fights were mostly trivial (had 40 100% magic pills left) and the game wasn’t very difficult outside of a few tough challenges. Music was nothing special and the story was interesting but never really impacted me emotionally at any point. The extra characters were more a nuisance to have to use for me personally.
Exceptions developers though. Pearl Abyss is this years Sandfall Interactive in the regard though in no way is this game on the level of E33… few are.
I’ve played 4 games this year so far:
Trails Beyond the Horizon, Resident Evil 9, Dragonquest 7 and Crimson Desert.
I’d still say Resident Evil 9 is still my current GOTY pick, and I’d put Crimson Desert in third place out of the four I’ve played but the other two games just hit me in the feels on a way didn’t, and I appreciate that more. Dragonquest while also a great game (all four are) is in last place.
Next up I’m trying Pragmata. I hear good things.
Thank you for the good times but man my Google search algorithm is going to really enjoy taking a break too lol.
